Originally, we wanted to have carts without
motors, but the improvements in motor performance have since made motors
more desirable than a pullwire based system. Image on right shows a cartoonish
early rendering of a pullwire based cart system, in which users wear gloves.
Below a cart based on wire connection, w.o electro motor, making it portable.
Since this design, high-speed electromotors light enough to carry have
become feasible. This design is a modern, high-speed replica of the cablecars
of San Francisco's Hallidie.
